TRAIN FOR METRO
A three-coach train for Kochi Metro project will be despatched on June 28 from Alstom’s manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The train is expected to reach here on July 8. Among other types of trial runs, it will also be used for oscillation trials prior to inspection by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO). The speed trials will start by mid-July. Kochi Metro’s trains can attain a maximum speed of 90 km per hour.
